Elaine’s water broke at 11 pm last night. Brian, her husband, took her to the hospital, where my nephew was born at 4:52. They called home as soon as possible. Mom is thrilled. Baby will likely be named Nicholas Taylor. They haven’t decided on spelling so the BC hasn’t been filled out/done/made official yet.

congrats to everyone!
i want to come visit. :D
Much happiness for a healthy mom and baby!
And please lord, let them spell it Nicholas Taylor. ‘Cause that’s how those words should be spelled.
Not that I get a vote.

I think it should be spelled in Cyrillic.
Congratulations. I’m going to say one of those things I say because I don’t quite know better than to not say it, although clearly I suspect given the caveat.
In my childhood, most of the terminally ill adults I knew died shortly after some specific event they were holding out for. It was something my mom and dad often commented on. It was often Christmas or some specific family member’s birthday, but there was one woman who waited until her granddaughter was born, held her, went home, got into her bikini, went out by the pool to sunbathe and enjoy the sun, and died quietly in her sleep.
I’m so glad your mom will get to see N.T. before she passes.
That name brings back a funny memory. My first middle school crush was on a guy named Nathan Taylor Trotter, an eighth grader. We called him NTT for sure. He played guitar and was in a band and I have no idea why, but we used to talk on the phone and I’d listen to him practice.
Heh, it’s so funny to remember that that was me…
::laughs:: Blessedly, you don’t get a vote either!
